Former Prime Minister Shri A.B. Vajpayee rightly said “IT Today, Bt Tommorow”. Here Bt stands for biotechnology which promises to be the next big thing globally. Biotechnology can deliver the next wave of technological change which will be more sustained than brought about by IT.

In India biotechnology is poised to become an integral

part of the curriculum in biology. Teachers will be faced with numerous challenges to teach pupils the numerous application potentials of biotechnology innovatively. With this vision, EHF is conducting the Nationwide biotechnology Olympiad. This olympiad is as much about creating awareness about Biotechnology by bringing in an element of challenge and competition as about inspiring the younger generation to enhance their knowledge about Biotechnology issues and to test their aptitude for taking up career in Biotechnology in future. Every student get biotechno work books and annual biotech e-newspaper. These innovative books have been widely appreciated by schools.

ELIGIBILITY

Students studying in classes 1 to 12 in English medium schools affiliated with CBSE/ICSE/IB/CIE and state board can participate. Maths/Non-maths students are

encouraged to participate.

One mark is allotted for each right answer. There is no negative marking. In case of a tie, following preference with respect to the marking First, EVS/G.Science/Biotech questions, then G.K. and finally Interactive questions. In case the tie-up persists other

NBTO

parameters including telecalling will be followed. The student roll number will be as given in the attendance sheet. No admit cards will be issued. There is no level 2.

The school result will be despatched to the school in 6-8 weeks. Fill the NBTO registration form (School & Student) and send to EHF by last date of registration. Call EHF National Coordinator - 9811370229 / 011-26168623 / 01126183198 or e-mail : eduhealfoundation@gmail.com in advance about the number of students from each class before the date of registration so that we can send you preparatory books as early as possible.
